It takes a village.
Lori Barrett, Owner
Lori Barrett is an FEI rider and trainer specialising in the development of young dressage prospects. Before retiring to focus on her own horses, she followed Olympian Heather Blitz as Head Trainer for Oak Hill Ranch, head of the Danish Studbook in the US, as well as having been the Head Trainer at the Chesapeake Dressage Institute. Previously Assistant Trainer to Olympian Tina Konyot, Lori got her professional start in dressage working as assistant for 2 years in Germany under Grand Prix trainer Carla Symader before returning to the US to finish her Master's degree in Education.
Lori's most recent coaches include Sabine Schut-Kery and Olympic Chef d’Equipe Anne Gribbons.
Jeff Juip, Owner
Jeff stumbled into owning Revel Ranch at the behest of his persuasive wife, Lori. Working on commercial architecture by trade, Jeff appreciates the endless opportunities presented by Revel to design & build in real life, rather than on paper. Specializing in fence building and tractoring about, there literally would be no Revel without Jeff’s myriad skills, both in design & the straight-up building of things.
Katie O’Neil, Assistant Trainer
USDF Bronze medalist Katie O’Neil is an accomplished horsewoman originally hailing from the Boston area, where she rode under USET Grand Prix listed trainer Kathy Crosby. Making Utah her home was a natural move for Katie, who loves trail running in the mountains & recently completed her first 50k trail run!
Katie has competed through 4th level & in the process of completing her USDF “L” Program for learner judges. She brings a kind approach to the horses & riders of Revel Ranch!
Summer Keller, Barn Staff
We can’t say enough great things about Summer. Basically, Summer gives us faith in the future of humanity, with her common sense & reliability. She’s a junior at South Summit High School, where she’s on the Honor Roll & on the Track team. Summer loves the horses & like the rest of the team, treats them like her own.
She loves reading, is part of the high school cross country team & wants to go to vet school one day. When she’s not riding her horse, Charlie, Summer likes hanging out with her twin brother.
