Working Mothers.

What does it take to be a Revel mare? Top bloodlines from around the world, prioritizing performance in dressage and jumping.

With a focus on rideability and correct movement, we have selected two very special dam lines to carry our legacy.

Our mares are daughters of horses we have bred, ridden and shown through the highest levels. What better foundation for your next FEI horse?

Finest (Fürstenball x Prince Thatch,) x Sandro Hit x Rotspon

Hot off the press! We just learned the Fendi S is fourth in the country in Materiale division, with a median score of 79.5! We wish we had done the 5yo Finale Test (instead of the Preliminary, which is unranked,) so we could have worked our way into top 10 there, as well.

Fendi S is our archetypal working mother. Whether she is making a victory lap in her Inspection where she was High Point Dressage Performance Test mare, High Point Hanoverian Mare, or gaining strength in collection for the 2022 dressage show season where she’ll compete in Materiale classes, she’s always seeking to please. Mother of (now-yearling,) Gold Medal foal Barbarella S, this elastic mare is a very special part of the Revel breeding & riding program!

EM Fendi S

Wynslet is the latest addition to our mare program! Shown through 3rd level by Tina Caldwell, Winnie brings the brilliance & athleticism of the Jazz & Matador lines. Having a pedigree full of international Grand Prix horses comes through in every step this elegant mare takes: she floats when she trots & her canter is truly spectacular.

Confirmed in foal to Gaudi (Totilas x DeNiro,) for 2023! Who needs a spectacular future FEI horse??

Wynslet

Wynton (Jazz x Matador) x Dacaprio/Lanciano

UB40 x Idocus

Hot off the press! Em is Utah Dressage Society High Point at 4th for 2022!

Em did her first dressage show (summer 2022,) in 6 years & crushed her 3rd & 4th level classes, qualifying for Championships and scoring a 69.5% in her 4th level! So proud of this girl. Gale-force winds never gave her a second’s pause for thought. What a good girl. With these scores in advanced dressage, Em secures her KWPN Sport Predicate, so that’s cool, too.

We picked Emeres out of a field as a raw 3 year old in FL for another breeder; she won all Sporthorse classes that year, ranked as one of the top young horses in the country. By the age of 5, she had competed to 2nd level, happily scoring in the 70’s. She later competed in Jumpers up to 1m40!

Emeres

Once a Revel mare, always a Revel mare.

We know we can’t keep them all, but here are some of the ladies who’ve left a mark on our breeding program over the years. See some of our distinguished Revel Alumni below.

EMC Fabergé L

Fürstenball x Laurie’s Crusader (Absatz)

Fabergé L has made a career move! We love her as a dressage horse, but Fergie *really loves to jump, so she’s transitioned to the Hunter ring, competing in Derbies, after scoring into the 70’s in her dressage shows.

Top foal at her wealing inspection, then among the top Elite Mares in the country for both her Mare Inspection and Dressage Riding Test, she brings the elasticity of the Florestan/Donnerhall lines and the rideability and work ethic of Laurie’s Crusader, A tall mare, Fergie stands nearly 17hh with a slender frame reminiscent of her maternal grandfather.

Lulu Melo.jpg

Lulu Melo R

San Amour x Don Romantic (Rubinstein)

We call her Super Lu! When we sit on Lulu to train her (what mother ISN’T a working mother?) we feel the generations of Grand Prix Dressage horses in her lineage. Seriously, when teaching this 5yo mare something new, it feels as if we are just reminding her of something she knew a long time ago. Shoulder in? No problem. Counter canter? Easy-peasy! Excited for her foal by Janerio Platinum (Sezuan x UB40) to develop. This athletic mare carries every bit of her genetic heritage, from Sandro Hit, to Don Schufro, to the fabulous Rubinstein mind, and attended her first dressage show in Vegas while 6 months pregnant.
