Future Professionalsβ Training Intensive
Learn about running operations at a training barn without losing focus on your own goals.
How many dressage trainers only train horses? Not many.
Most trainers are also the billing department, the scheduler, the HR manager, the client-relations team, and the person who notices that the water trough is leaking before anyone else does. Few future professionals see that side of the job until theyβre already in it. This individualized program gives a serious future professional a hands-on look at what it actually takes to run a successful training barn, and at how to create systems that do some of the heavy lifting on parts of the job you donβt love.
How to keep focused on the horses.
If you want to be high-achieving in dressage, not getting derailed by day to day barn operations is key. This program is designed to help future professionals learn both what is involved in running a successful training barn, as well as seeing some systems to keep their focus where they want it: on the riding.

A note to the rider
I always say that this program will either cure you of horses forever or make you terminal. Loving the horses & the sport is the easy part. This program is about finding out what it takes to build a life in it.
Youβll spend two weeks assisting the real work of a running training barn: riding, yes, but also the schedules, the invoices, the phone calls, and the problems that show up at 7 a.m. Some of it will be fun, some of it will be tedious, and some of it will surprise you. You will learn a lot you didnβt know you needed to know.
The goal is to give you a realistic vision of the life you think you want; how resilient are you? The horses & the business ask that of us every day. That being said, we love what we do & think there itβs possible to create systems that make the hard tasks easier & let us focus more of our energy doing what we love.
